Top 3 Oufits of 2015

I constantly tell myself whenever a new year arrives that this is going to be a year of change with my website. That this is the year my vlog will thrive! I will post more frequently, do more outfit photoshoots, and FINALLY create and share food recipes with all of you.

After 2 failed attempts and broken promises.. I honestly think this is my year.

As one of my first fashion posts, I wanted to create a list of my top 4 favorite outfits (the ones that were actually recorded) of 2015 and share it with my readers. Not only will it allow you to see more into my personal taste and style, but it will act as a reminder for me to actually take more photos of my outfits because I know somewhere down the long road of faux fur coats, ripped jeans, and oversized sweaters that there are more outfits I could have shared.

But without further ado, here are my top picks:

NO. 1

Loopknit Cardigan- Forever 21 | Sheer blouse- Silence + Noise
Faux Leather Skirt- Forever 21 | Black Buckled Bootie Heels- JustFab

For this outfit, I want to start out by saying that I don't get where all the 'hate' about Forever21 is coming from. Their clothing items are modern, stylish, and not to mention low-priced!
I find a lot of my staple items at that store, including this oh so beautiful black and white loopknit cardigan I got ON SALE! I believe it was originally $20+ (one of their pricier items) so I got it for a little over $10. Paired with this cardigan is a simple and feminine sheer blouse from Silence + Noise which is usually sold at Urban Outfitters. I mention that because I got this for $3 at Goodwill!

For the bottom, I definitely wanted to play with textures. Here, I paired this loopknit cardigan with a faux leather mini skirt. If you haven't yet, you should definitely think about mix matching texture when it comes to bringing your outfit to the next level. It not only brings a beautiful aesthetic to your ensemble, but it also makes you look like you're doing! Now don't get me wrong, I do pride myself in my ability to put together an outfit for the day. But there are those days where I just stare blankly into my clothing rack and closet without a clue of what to wear.

I'll explain that in a future post (What to Wear When You Don't Know What to Wear), but for now here are a few examples of texture mix and matches:
1. Faux Fur Coat and Faux Leather Skirt or Jeans
2. Suede Dress with a Faux Leather Jacket
3. Oversized Knit Sweater, Faux Fur Vest, and Faux Leather Skirt

And for shoes, I am wearing my absolute favorite pair of heeled booties from JustFab.

NO. 2

Tie Up Dress- FashionNova | Black and Gold Boots- JustFab

This outfit is an example of less is more.

I am wearing only two items (if you aren't including my undergarments).

This dress from FashionNova has been on my wishlist for a very long time! It has that beautiful witchy vibe that has been so in this winter and fall! Yes, I am talking about the tie up in the front. Let's face it, if I put on a witch hat and had a broom this would be perfect for Halloween... and I'm 100% okay with that statement.

These booties have been a go-to of mine for a very long time. You can't tell in this photo but the chunky 2 inch heel in the back is actually wrapped in 24k GOLD!! Okay, no.. that's a lie. It's just a plastic gold plate over the heel but it adds a perfect touch to an oh so simple outfit.

NO. 3

Last but not least is this outfit I actually wore last season. I've always been a fan of this weather because we are allowed to be more adventurous with our outfits. This was the first time I ever tried an article of clothing that had this certain look or texture to it.. the loop knit. Now I'm absolutely OBSESSED with wearing any article of clothing that has some sort of dimension.

Everything in this photo was purchased from Forever 21 except for the boots that aren't pictured. Doesn't look like it right? I was wearing a pair of polka dot sheer tights with a black combat boots that do have a small heel, duh.

So that is the end of my year of outfits round up. I already can't wait 358 days until I get to write another one.. KNOWING that I will have more that 3 waiting for you :)
